News from the Bridge

At the National Conference and AGM held this October a $3.00 dues increase was passed.  This will bring the total for members of our squadron to $39.00 with a $3.00 discount for early payment.  Of this total $3.00 goes to District and $7.00 stays with us locally.  Our squadron voted against the increase.

We are pleased to announce that we now have four licensed VHF examiners in our squadron.  Brian Scott, Wayne Kaufman and Greg Sharpe have been approved.  As always, John MacKay continues to be a great asset to our squadron.

The Bridge of our Squadron continues to meet regularly and is doing a great job as is evidenced by the two articles published recently in the local paper .  It should be noted that at this time we are looking for a replacement for the Commander's position.  I am in my third year as Commander and my second year as District Treasurer.  We are continuing to add members as a result of our large boating classes and I am hopeful that some will show a willingness to join the Bridge with a view to becoming Commander in the near future

Our Annual General Meeting and graduation will be held sometime in April of 2005 and we look forward to seeing many of you out for a great evening.
